About MMSA
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Maryland Middle School Association is to promote excellence through representation of middle level professionals, administrators, students, parents and others who share a commitment to adolescent learners.
Goals:
The Association will encourage middle-level educators and community stakeholders to work collaboratively to support the needs of adolescents through developmentally appropriate programs rich in academic rigor while keeping the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social needs of the students in the forefront.
The Association will focus on current research, available resources, and best practices that foster and support education of the young adolescent while aligning with MSDE state curriculum and No Child Left Behind guidelines.
